Grooveshire is excited to announce the free download of their song "I'm Just A Widow Now" from their recently released EP American Son. Chris Melfi, lead vocalist for Grooveshire describes the inspiration behind the song: "I combine two perspectives, one being told in the eyes of an abused woman who leaves her abusive relationship to find solace, and the other in the perspective of the abuser who feels cheated and robbed that his woman has left him. It's a song that I consider an anthem for those who are hurting emotionally and physically to step up and take themselves out of painful situations. In the case of "I'm just a widow now" the chorus is the woman's voice declaring change and finally finding solace "breaking away" from the pain and manipulation she endured for so long."
